The XG-07 is an electric locking mechanism designed for access-control and automation systems used in cabinets, lockers, drawers, vending machines and other equipment.
The lock operates using a power-to-unlock principle: when power is applied, the locking mechanism is released; when power is removed, the lock returns to its locked position.
Its metal construction provides a compact and durable solution for installations where available space is limited. Some versions feature additional feedback contacts, allowing the control system to monitor the lock status.

The 73 × 58 × 13 mm dimensions are documented for the 12 V XG-07C version, while JH lists several different configurations within the XG-07 family.
The lock uses an electromagnetic mechanism:
12 V DC applied → unlocks
Power removed → locks
This makes it suitable for systems where the controller provides a short electrical pulse to release the cabinet or compartment.
The 4-wire versions include an additional contact that can be used to monitor the mechanical lock status. This allows integration with control systems requiring confirmation that the lock has been opened or closed.
⚠️ The lock should not be continuously powered.
Its recommended a continuous power-on period of 0–5 seconds, with an interval of more than 3 minutes between activations. Excessive activation time may cause the electromagnetic coil to overheat and become damaged.
