There is no AD / DA function in the GPIO interface of the Raspberry Pi, this can bother you in the development of Pi. However, it will no longer be a problem. The GPIO-PCF8591 RPI shield allows you to add high-precision AD / DA functions to the Raspberry Pi.
The PCF8591 has four 8-bit analog to digital converters and a single 8-bit digital to analog converter. This will work through the I2C interface on the Raspberry Pi.
